Antonio Marin Montero is considered the godfather of the Granada school, and he has many followers, students, also a great number of performing artist play Antonio Marin Montero guitars. He is admired by performers and luthiers all over the world for his great build quality and the sonic qualities of his guitars. Over the years and for a very good reason an aura has developed around the name of Antonio Marin Montero that rightfully presents him as being one of the most prominent guitar makers of the 20th century.

The quality of the woods is premium and matured, the Brazilian rosewood is quarter-sawn and straight grained, the fine and even grain German spruce top mislead me thinking it might be cedar, but checking the inside turned out to be Spruce. The top-wood is of a rarely seen quality, and me be considered just about perfect. It combines powerful bass strings and crystal-clear trebles with a strong midrange, matured and deepened over the years, and this guitar is just everything you expect a Montero to be like.

The guitar is in excellent condition, some nail-wear is evident, but no cracks or breaks, the shellac french polish is still original. Also the set-up and playability are excellent. Features: Build Year: 1976, Top: Cedar, Back and sides: Brazilian Rosewood, Shellac French polish method, String height at the 12th fret: 3,5mm. With solid case.
